Let’s get straight to business and talk about my wedding dress, which I LOVED. I could harp on about this glitzy bad boy forever.
Not two Charlotte Olympia posts in one week I hear you cry. Well get over it because it’s about to happen. I’m having a Charlotte Olympia moment and I’m combining it with a Jamiroquai song. What you going to do?
My new crush of the week has created what can only be described as a super cool cosmic collection. Suddenly the Jamiroquai reference doesn’t seem too silly does it?
I’ve always been interested in my star sign and have been looking into typical traits of a Capricorn. The majority of them ring true, I would say I’m a hard worker, ambitious, stubborn and practical. The two points I would question mainly revolve around patience and organisational skills but we can gloss over those.
I’m basically the goat personified – continuously climbing up the hill. I digress…
This collection is based on the 12 signs with Birthday Shoes and Zodiac Pandora clutches… I’m in love.
I would say that the description below is fairly accurate.
These beauts are my Capricorn birthday shoes. Well they’re not technically mine…
The green is not a colour I’d normally go for but I’m loving it. It’s gorgeous and the contrast of the gold heel looks amazing. The star sign is hand-painted enamel and embellished (one of my favourite words EVER) with Swarovski crystals. Ahhhhhhh.
Want to know what’s even better? There’s a matching clutch. Fist pump.
Introducing the Capricorn Pandora.
Made from coloured perspex the Pandora features the same enamel Zodiac symbol as the shoes. It’s dreamlike.
I know what’s going on my wish list. How about yours?
Tom Binns to me, is jewellery perfection. It’s big, it’s chunky and it’s very bold. I’m partial to a bit of statement jewellery and this is definitely that.
It would dress up any outfit and add a colour pop. The two pieces below are my current faves. I’m imagining wearing them over simple black dresses or tees, so the neon yellow really stands out.
These Swarovski crystal, faux pearl and safety pin earrings rock. The mix of textures and styles mixes classic with a punk edge. I’ve actually just re-pierced my ears and am looking for something beautiful to hang from them. Unfortunately for me at £245 I might have to wait a little longer.
The only thing I don’t love is the £1055 price tag. Ouch.
As I write this post I have Prince, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, going round and round in my head. It’s kinda fitting for this post if we swap ‘Girl’ for ‘Necklace’ – I think I’ve fallen in love.
The latest object of my affection (because we all know I’m fickle and will have my head turned by another sparkling object soon) is this gob-smackingly beautiful Erickson Beamon Tribal Patchwork Bib.
Or to rightfully credit it with its full name, the Tribal Patchwork Gold-plated Swarovski Crystal Bib Necklace. Phew, now that’s a mouthful.
But ignoring that for a second, let’s go back to the texture. There’s Swarovski crystals, smooth gems, even little blue pom poms dangling at the end. The colours, a mix of blues, burnished gold, reds and pinks definitely touch on the tribal side and give it a warmth. It has the power to change an outfit completely and all you need to start with is a plain jumper.
Net-A-Porter have called it a ‘conversation starter’, and I don’t doubt that, but for me, it’s something much, much more. It’s heaven.
Do you agree, could this be the most beautiful necklace in the world?
