It’s safe to say I have a couple of pairs of shoes in my collection. I wouldn’t like to guess how many, or actually count them because I’m slightly scared of the truth. Instead, I dug out my favourites, bust out some MJ-style moonwalks in my mum’s garden and filmed it. Check it out for yourself.

And yes, I’m definitely a #shoeaholic.

Let me know if you are too!

Want it on Wednesday: The Perfect Leather Trousers

Let me just start this post by asking who doesn’t need a pair of leather joggers?

I know I do.

I don’t want to be restricted by super skintight leather, I want to have room to breathe and move. There will be no Ross from Friends paste pant moment here. For a start they have an elasticated waist, every IBS sufferers dream.

They also hit just above the ankle which I love with any trouser. In my eyes it gives the illusion of much longer legs.

What’s even better is their sale price, £85. I’m seriously tempted. Come to mama Cuffless Leather Joggers.

3 Ways to Wear an Oversized Check Shirt

I’ve been waiting for Al to get a check shirt that I could then borrow, for a long time now and it just hasn’t happened. So I got one for myself and I made sure it was as oversized as possible. What’s even better is that this one comes with pockets. I’ll never turn them down.

It’s a shirt that I’m having fun dressing up and down and generally seeing just what I can pair it with other than jeans. But we should always start with jeans.

With Jeans and My Boyfriend’s Jumper

For me this outfit felt like the obvious choice. An oversized maroon and navy shirt is super easy to pair with skinny blue jeans. It’s like peanut butter and toast, it just works. Then I decided why not throw one of Al’s cosy jumpers into the mix. I layered it up and then made sure that my collar was peaking out the top, my cuffs were rolled into the jumper and up to my wrists and that the ends were scruffily hanging out the bottom. I don’t like looking too neat.

I then finished with my sparkly, leopard-print trainers. Because, well, why wouldn’t I. I love them.

With a Leather Midi Skirt

There’s just something about wearing a big shirt buttoned up to the top and then tucked into a contrasting skirt. The mix of textures, the colours, even the fact that there is no skin on show, everything about this outfit rocks my world. It’s even better when the wind blows and catches both your hair and skirt, sweeping them upwards and outwards.

With Checked Shorts

I like to clash my clothes, so I figured why stop at just one checked item when you can do two. Right. This look feels more relaxed with the buttons undone, one side tucked into the shorts and my trusty flat black brogues. It’s casual and could be worn at any time.

If you don’t have your own shirt, I recommend stealing from your boyfriend. That’s if he owns one, unlike mine. Or, you could get my Oversized Check Shirt from Topshop for £32.

Either way, I want to know how do you wear yours?

The Latest Addition to My Handbag Collection

Look what I’ve got my grubby little paws on. It’s only this gorgeous petrol Bowery bag from Rebecca Minkoff.

I was lucky enough to receive some money for my birthday and knew instantly that I wanted to add a luxurious leather item to my collection. In particular, I knew I wanted something fairly small but still roomy and preferably one that I could throw across my shoulders. Enter Rebecca Minkoff.

I think I may actually be obsessed with Minkoff. I’ve signed up to her emails, regularly stalk her site for lust-worthy items and I’ve even been having dreams that she’s my best friend and keeps gifting me more bags than I have room for.

Anyway, I spotted this bag on The Outnet and instantly fell head over heels. It had 40% off the original price and was exactly what I was looking for. And it’s even better in real life.

It has a three almost hidden pockets; one zipped at the front, one under the lobster clasp and then a sleeve at the back. The snap-fastening front flap conceals a brilliant black and white canvas with enough room for all my essentials. I flipping love it.

I’m hoping this means I will stop packing my bags to the point of overflowing and as a result my shoulders will reap the benefits. I’ll let you know. Just expect to see even more of this bad boy.

My Trusty Cold-Weather Skirts

I have three skirts which, when worn with suitable layers and thick black tights, can get me through any situation no matter how miserable the weather is outside. These are my reliable and trusty cold-weather skirts.

First up, a pop of colour…

Pink Tulip Skirt

This skirt always reminds me of a giant Quality Street. It’s bright pink, shiny looking and in the shape of a bubbled tulip. It’s perfect for tucking tops or jumpers in to. It’s a definite stand-out item.

Whenever I put this on I feel instantly more glam. I love the folds and pleats in this skirt and the way it bubbles under at the bottom.

What I’m Wearing:
Skirt, ASOS
Jumper, Warehouse
Belt, ASOS
Boots, River Island
Necklace, present
Watch, Michael Kors

Leather Skater Skirt:

If you read my blog regularly, you’ll know that I love a skater skirt. It’s my go-to and fall-back skirt. If in doubt, choose skater. That’s my motto.

This one is a tad too big for me around the waist, but when belted tightly, it’s the best.

What I’m Wearing:
Skirt, Warehouse
Shirt, Phillip Lim for Target
Belt, ASOS
Brogues, Topshop

Animal Print A-Line Skirt

Every time I wear this skirt, the compliments roll in. It’s garish, in-your-face, covered in a mix of snake and leopard print and has deep pockets. It’s perfection in a skirt.

I like pairing it with something equally as bold, just because I can.

What I’m Wearing:
Skirt, Lavish Alice at ASOS
Tee, pinched from Al
Boots, Emma Cook for Topshop
Necklace, Love Moi
Watch, Michael Kors

Do you have a trusty winter skirt?

Dear Oscar, I’ll Take One Coat

Dear Oscar,
I’ve been meaning to write to you for a while. You see I’m a sucker for a jewel colour, floral print and all-out glamour, which you just seem to get.
You put decadence on a whole other level. You knock glamour out the ball park. You are my hero.
But what came as a surprise to me, although it probably shouldn’t have, is just how gorgeous and sexy you make coats look. The coat in question is a truly beautiful number with kinky leather arms (wink wink) and a cashgora (that’s a cashmere, angora and fleece wool blend) belted body. It nips you in at the waist and then falls flatteringly over your hips before finishing with a gratifying swing. Perfection.

All you need is the coat and a pair of CFM heels and you’re ready for anything.

Oscar, nobody does it quite like you and for that I am truly grateful. But, charging me $4,190 for the pleasure, that’s not ok. We definitely need to talk.
Call me.
Jojo
(The one you made the coat for. But you already knew that didn’t you.)

Oh, and you can get yours here if you’re curious…

His and Hers Head-to-Toe Saint Laurent

When I think of his and hers dressing I instantly think of Britney and Justin in their denim era, or Posh and Becks in their all-leather get up, ahhh the memories. I’ve never knowingly worn a similar outfit to Al and never really wanted to, until I spotted Saint Laurent’s AW collection.

It only felt right to create a look for both his and hers.

His…

There is nothing I’d like more in life than to see Al scrubbed up wearing waxed jeans and a heart-printed shirt. Especially as I would then be able to ‘borrow’ and maybe ‘keep’ said heart-printed shirt, oh and maybe the biker jacket too.

Wax Denim Jeans, £240.11
Heart Print Shirt, £525

Biker Jacket, £1,255.34
Court Classic Sneakers, £417.04

Hers…

I’ve kept it simple pairing this floral-patterned pussy bow dress with the classic Saint Laurent blazer, topped off with these badass studded biker boots. Oh yeah!

Pussy Bow Dress, £1,474.39
Small Cabas Mongram Tote, £1,500
Classic Blazer, £1,676.59

Rangers Boot, £1,428.05

All I need now is £8,516.52 for the both of us to get kitted up. We don’t really need that deposit for the house do we?!?!
