We were pretty adamant that when it came to having a wedding in Antigua, we wanted it to feel as authentic to the Caribbean islands as possible. We knew we wanted jerk chicken for dinner, rum punch to toast our ceremony and steel drums for the evening, because those were the reasons we fell in love with the island to begin with.
Every now and then I like to carve out an evening for myself, doing my favourite things, to take my mind away from all the stress, worry and general anxieties that tend to build up. There are five things that help relax my body and calm my mind.
You know how some people are addicted to cheese or chocolate, well I feel the same way about shoes. In particular, the kind of shoe that has been completely bedazzled, has a whopper of a pom pom stuck on it or is in a crazy animal print. That’s my thing. Shoes are my crack.
I will typically wear my thick black tights the whole year round, pausing for a break somewhere in the midst of summer where my pasty, reptile-like pins get a brief glimpse of sun. I’ve written before about why I love tights so much, and I really do, but while I love their practical nature, I also love embellishment and a bit of sparkle. Which is why I believe we should all be embellishing our tights, Dolce and Gabbana style.
Let me start this post by asking if you’ve ever seen a beanie with a veil?
If it’s a ‘yes’ then I guess you’re a fan of Anna Dello Russo, if not, then I’m here to help.
After a casual bank holiday browse of ASOS I found exactly that. A baby pink beanie, which has little flowers sewn onto the cuff, with an added pink veil.
For me, I don’t think it could get any better. I’m actually in love.
I want it now. I don’t care if the weather is heating up, I want to crown my head with it and never take it off. Hell, it even makes me consider dying my hair candyfloss pink too.
It could be all mine for £11. Get yours here.
