Is This the Cosiest Jumper of All Time?

I think it just might be.

My first thought was my God, doesn’t that look soft. My second thought was how the jumper looks the perfect balance between oversized and fitted, if you see what I mean. My third thought was Christ, I really need to get this in my life.
In case you were wondering, this Carla Sweater is from a Danish brand called Just Female.
I love the way it hangs and hugs the frame but still shows that you have a shape beneath. Perfect. I can already imagine it being chucked over skinny jeans, skirts, dresses…. Anything really.
Of course, they all have to be sold out. That’s just my luck. Especially as I want to throw the charcoal one on now and never take it off. I’ve even signed up to receive an email when they come back in stock. That’s how much I want it.
Get yours here. Just not before me please.

Equip Yo’ Self

I have a soft spot for shirts. They are my go-to item as the weather gets cooler and a sure-fire hit for success. You can wear them over skinny jeans, tucked into skirts, buttoned up to the neck or casually with the sleeves rolled.

I’ve been majorly crushing on Equipment for their delicious range of soft silk shirts and feminine prints and whittled my selection down to my three favourites.

1. Equipment Snakeskin Effect Shirt, £305.60
2. Equipment Daisy Shirt, £263.74
3. Equipment Butterfly Shirt, £284.67

If I had to pick the ultimate shirt from the three above, it’s easily number two, the one covered in big daisies. In fact, I quite like the skirt it’s tucked into too…

Obviously the snakeskin one comes a close second but there’s just something so cheerful about seeing daisies, I can’t stop smiling. And that’s exactly what I want from an outfit.

View all Equipment shirts here and let me know which one you fancy wearing below.

Help! I’m Addicted to a Garish Wedged-Heeled Boot

This definitely looks like a criminal lineup in my overgrown garden.

And to some extent, it is. You see, these boots are all guilty of the following crimes:

1. Being massively clunky, chunky boots
2. Wearing animal print well
3. Having a wedged heel
4. Being super obnoxious
5. Not caring who they stomp over

I’ve been organising my shoe collection now we’ve moved house and while stacking box upon box, I realised just how many pairs of wedged boots I actually own. It’s no secret that I am a wedge fan across all seasons, as I’m ridiculously clumsy and have Bambi-like ankles, but you can definitely say and see that I have a type.

I like my mine animal-printed, made in suede or pony skin and covered in heavy buckles, or even better, fringing.

One thing’s for sure they have to be bold, brash and completely garish, otherwise I’m just not interested.

The following shoes have been sentenced to a life sentence of being worn throughout winter.

From left to right:
Faith Sabrina boots in tan
Emma Cook for Topshop maroon fringed boots
Kurt Geiger Viper pony boots

Judge rules.

Right on the Kisser: Lancôme’s L’Absolu Velours

There’s nothing more satisfying than smothering your lips with a delicious new colour, and that’s why I love testing out new lip products.

The two I’m crushing on right now are from the Lancôme L’Absolu Velours range. I have 172 Velours d’Etincelle and 493 Velours de Violine, which are perfect for transitioning into Autumn.

They’re everything you want from a gloss, easy to apply (thanks to the doe-foot applicator), velvety, matte and highly pigmented, providing a deep and intense colour. They’re unlike any gloss I currently own, and I love that. They actually last a fairly long time too, surviving a burger and chip lunch over the weekend – and I’m a messy eater.
I’m getting a lot of wear from the deep plum which gives a slightly more Gothic look thanks to my pale (read pasty) skin.
These two glosses will definitely be living in my handbag this Autumn.

Are you turning to darker lippy too?

Dear Oscar, I’ll Take One Coat

Dear Oscar,
I’ve been meaning to write to you for a while. You see I’m a sucker for a jewel colour, floral print and all-out glamour, which you just seem to get.
You put decadence on a whole other level. You knock glamour out the ball park. You are my hero.
But what came as a surprise to me, although it probably shouldn’t have, is just how gorgeous and sexy you make coats look. The coat in question is a truly beautiful number with kinky leather arms (wink wink) and a cashgora (that’s a cashmere, angora and fleece wool blend) belted body. It nips you in at the waist and then falls flatteringly over your hips before finishing with a gratifying swing. Perfection.

All you need is the coat and a pair of CFM heels and you’re ready for anything.

Oscar, nobody does it quite like you and for that I am truly grateful. But, charging me $4,190 for the pleasure, that’s not ok. We definitely need to talk.
Call me.
(The one you made the coat for. But you already knew that didn’t you.)

Oh, and you can get yours here if you’re curious…

His and Hers Head-to-Toe Saint Laurent

When I think of his and hers dressing I instantly think of Britney and Justin in their denim era, or Posh and Becks in their all-leather get up, ahhh the memories. I’ve never knowingly worn a similar outfit to Al and never really wanted to, until I spotted Saint Laurent’s AW collection.

It only felt right to create a look for both his and hers.

There is nothing I’d like more in life than to see Al scrubbed up wearing waxed jeans and a heart-printed shirt. Especially as I would then be able to ‘borrow’ and maybe ‘keep’ said heart-printed shirt, oh and maybe the biker jacket too.

Wax Denim Jeans, £240.11
Heart Print Shirt, £525

Biker Jacket, £1,255.34
Court Classic Sneakers, £417.04

I’ve kept it simple pairing this floral-patterned pussy bow dress with the classic Saint Laurent blazer, topped off with these badass studded biker boots. Oh yeah!

Pussy Bow Dress, £1,474.39
Small Cabas Mongram Tote, £1,500
Classic Blazer, £1,676.59

Rangers Boot, £1,428.05

All I need now is £8,516.52 for the both of us to get kitted up. We don’t really need that deposit for the house do we?!?!

7 New Season Bags That Make My Heart Skip a Beat

In my dreams these are the only bags that should grace my shoulders. In reality I will be shopping for similar on the high street until I’ve saved up some pennies for a splurge after my birthday in December. Only four months to wait.

Obviously I’ve ranked them from most loved down…

Charlotte Olympia ‘High Five’ Shoulder Bag

Let’s just start by completely ignoring the price tag attached to this badass bag. I am a sucker for anything that Charlotte Olympia touches and this is genius.

Saint Laurent Fringed Buckle Bag

Oh Saint Laurent, it’s as if you’ve been in my dreams and seen the bag I’m coveting the most. I love anything with a bit of fringing, gold hardware, heavy straps and the ability to carry my life in it.

3.1 Phillip Lim Small ‘East West Depeche’ Shoulder Bag

I love a faux fur trim. That’s all.

Paul Cademartori Petite ‘Faye’ Tote

How could I not be drawn to the bold colours on this one. The mix of deep turquoise leather against grey suede and the crazy multicoloured patterns on top. It’s a beaut.

MM6 By Maison Martin Margiela Crocodile-Effect Shoulder Bag

A ginormous, triangular, crocodile-effect shoulder bag, yes please.

Kenzo ‘Drop’ Shoulder Bag

I love the monochrome, the stripes, the kind of blurred-effect pattern but most of all I love how it looks like it has a little face.

Moschino Quilted Jacket Shoulder Bag

I’ve never been a massive Moschino fan but the latest collection has definitely made me sit up and take note, including this bag. It’s a tad cheesy and something I wouldn’t normally go for but it’s still making me turn my head. The quilted leather, the red lapel the fact it’s made to look like it’s wearing a jacket. It’s kitsch and I like it.

That’s my lot. Greedy cow that I am.

What bags are you lusting after?

Victoria Beckham, You Spoil Me

Victoria Beckham, you spoil me.

Not only do make super bad-ass clothes that I want to wear now, you also have the most gorgeous-looking family ever, who all sat front row for this a/w ’14 collection. Swoon.

My two favourites were easy to pick.

I would wear the trouser and ruffled-hemmed top under this glorious updated hounds-tooth coat. It’s oversized, masculine feel had me at first glance. Look how cosy it is.

Nice one VB. Nice one.
